6 At-Home Date Nights

I never realized how much I looked forward to alone adult time until it wasn’t really an option anymore! Man, I am missing walking down to our favorite restaurant, having a glass of wine and paying for a meal and eating it in the company of other adults. We were chatting in our Modern Mamas IG live event the other day about how to stay connected with our partners, and I realized we all needed some date night inspiration! I’ve put together 5 At-Home Date Nights that you can do RIGHT NOW to stay connected to your partner!

  • Movie Night

    • So you can do a couple of different options here. Pick your favorite streaming series (you can find my epic list here) and start planning a daily date night with your spouse that involves lots of couch surfing and snuggling. The most recent season of Ozarks is launching TODAY and we are losing our minds!!! You can also stream IN-THEATER movies right now through Amazon Prime Video!! The cost is pretty comparable to the purchase of two in-theater movie tickets, so we like this option!

      • Stock up on your favorite popcorn. Either purchase some pre-made, or get the kernels and DIY your own! It’s so easy!

      • Stock up on your favorite healthier candy options. We love some good peanut butter cups and gummies for our movie eats!

      • Get you your favorite cleaner wine or healthier soda option for that extra fun add on!

  • Virtual Wine Tasting

    • I’m not going to pretend I know ANYTHING about wine, other than that I prefer clean wine to not (bye bye hangovers and headaches!) But if you want to learn more like me, or you are a wine afficionado, you can checkout this article on the best virtual wine tasting events and plan a date night for you and your partner!

    • You can also contact your favorite Scout & Cellar Wine Consultant to see if they would want to do a Virtual Wine Tasting with you and your friends! Some of my favorite people sell this clean crafted wine, and you can bet we’ll be doing a virtual event with them!

  • Game Night

    • I’ll be honest, we love a good game night around here, and I’ve made a list of some of my favorite adult board games that are just RIPE for some quarantine play! Some of these are for 2 players and some are for more. If you want to play with your friends, it’s as easy as setting up a Zoom call and getting game night started!

  • Take a Class Together

    • I actually LOVE THIS ONE. We are eying Masterclass (right now they’re doing a buy one give one promotion that looks amazing!) and thinking about picking a class a month to work through together! They have cooking, music, photography, and so much more! We also love Udemy for one off class purchases to do together. Right now, I’m learning the piano!

  • Takeout Dinner Date

    • Or inside, whatever is your jam! With shelter in place orders for so many, that means visiting your favorite restaurant might not be an option. Most restaurants are still doing to-go orders though, which is great news for us! We plan on ordering in from our favorite local place, uncorking a bottle of our favorite wine, and firing up our back patio lights and putting on a little jazz music and just RELAXING. We’re actually doing this tonight and I can’t wait!

  • Start Planning your Post-quarantine Travel Bucket List

    • I think it would be so much fun to start dreaming now of the staycations, road trips, or national and international travel that you’re going to do when we can travel again! You can even start planning your itineraries and shopping for your travel outfits now (or at least making your wish lists) as something to look forward to! You can start with this travel list for some inspiration!

I would love to hear some ideas for your favorite date nights in! Drop your plans in the comments below!
